New Build

157 Holden Road

Construction of a new residential block comprising 6 self-contained apartments, delivered from demolition through to full substructure and superstructure build stages.

The project involved the complete redevelopment of the site, beginning with full demolition of the existing structure and clearance of all materials. Following this, groundworks and foundation works were carried out to establish a stable base for the new build.

The structure was then progressed through substructure into full superstructure construction, forming the main load-bearing elements of the building. Works were carried out in sequence to ensure structural accuracy and alignment across all stages, providing a consistent and reliable build throughout.

The Challenge

The project required close coordination between demolition, groundworks, and structural phases to maintain programme and avoid delays between trades. Managing the transition from existing structure removal to new build construction required careful planning and sequencing.

Working within a residential area also required controlled site operations, including deliveries, access, and maintaining a clean and organised site throughout the build.

Scope of Works
  • Full demolition of existing structure
  • Site clearance and enabling works
  • Construction of substructure including foundations
  • Superstructure construction forming the main building frame
  • Coordination of structural works through all build stages

Outcome

A complete structural build delivered in line with programme and structural requirements, providing a solid and well-executed framework for the next stages of construction.

The project demonstrates the ability to manage full redevelopment schemes, taking a site from demolition through to structural completion in a controlled and efficient manner.
